Super Spars, the World's Number 1 Performance Dinghy Spar manufacturer, today announced their sponsorship of the Steve Smith Round UK Dinghy Sailing Challenge.

Steve is planning to race the OCR1 dinghy around the UK setting off this August in an attempt to set a record passage time for a dinghy. Steve is hoping to set a blistering pace and complete the task in 16 days, weather permitting. The dinghy is equipped to sail through the night to enable Steve to sail extend hours when the conditions are right. The OCR1 is a new dinghy, designed and built over the last 4 years by Steve Smith especially for this record attempt.
