The 505 class is an International two person high performance dinghy which is quick and responsive in light winds and just goes faster in high winds. There are active fleets in the USA, Canada, Europe, UK and Australia.
The hull shape and design is strictly controlled so the rig set up for weight of crew and wind conditions is very important.
Our high quality consistent tube production is the choice of the large majority of the 505 fleet worldwide.
We have a well-recognised wide range flexible rig specifications that suits the weight ranges and wind conditions that 505 sailors have come to expect.
The flexible rig specifications have been refined over many years and allows you to set your rig up for all weather, wind and crew weights. These set ups are constantly being refined with the input of top 505 sailors from around the world through Segelsport in Germany. Detailed set up rig guides can be found on the Segelsport website.
